Hyderabad: IRB Golconda Expressway Pvt Ltd, a Project SPV under the IRB Infrastructure Trust, has appealed to the ORR users to ensure the proper affixation of FASTag on their vehicles as directed by the Indian Highways Management Company Ltd to avoid double toll fee payment and blacklisting of the FASTag, which will be applicable with immediate effect across all 21 toll plazas on the ORR.

Commenting on the development, Amitabh Murarka, Director, said: “It is our sincere request to all ORR users to follow the directives and guidelines of IHMCL in order to avoid blacklisting of FASTag and levying double toll fee.” He added, “This will not only save the time of ORR users and bring them more convenience, but also help the Company in enhancing efficiency levels for better service to the users.”

To re-iterate, the NHAI promoted Indian Highways Management Company Ltd (IHMCL) has mandated highway users and the Concessionaires of various highway projects across India about proper affixation of FASTag - on failure of which, double toll fees will be charged and the respective FASTags will be blacklisted. The IHMCL has further mandated the Company, being the TOT Concessionaire for the project, to report all deviations pertaining to the FASTags, such as, affixation on additional glass or other material surfaces, or attached using cello-tape or other non-standard adhesives, or carried by customer’s in-hand instead of being affixed on the windshield.
